ABOUT THE RHINO
#youresafewithme
Our logo pays homage to the lavender rhino used as a symbol of gay resistance in the 60s and 70s. The rhinoceros was used, because this giant beast is often a very misunderstood animal. Despite its somewhat harsh exterior, the rhino often presents as calm and peaceful. However, when threatened, this animal is fierce in its protection of both itself and its family. The colour purple was used due to it's connections with gender and sexual diversity, and the meeting of masculine and feminine.
